Pierre Garçon Back at it

Pierre Garcon helping Native Haiti

Garçon is of Haitian descent, and he has used his platform to help Haiti in its continued efforts to rebuild after the 2010 earthquake. It's been seven years, but the country still has a lot of work to do. Garçon has used his foundation to, "bring enduring education, health and community programs to the people of Haiti; to provide long-term sustainable initiatives that will continue to positively influence the lives of Haitians."

Lately, that has involved pushing hard on getting people to buy Garçon Haiti apparel. The shirt includes his name with the Haitian flag worked into the design.

Strong Earthquake in Mexico

The U.S. Geological Survey calculated its magnitude at 7.1 on the Richter scale and said it was centered near the Puebla state town of Raboso, about 75 miles southeast of Mexico City. At a nearby market, a worker in a hard-hat walked around the outside warning people not to smoke as a smell of gas filled the air. Market stall vendor Edith Lopez, 25, said she was in a taxi a few blocks away when the quake struck. She said she saw glass bursting out of the windows of some buildings. Click here to read
